Walmart is one of the largest retailers in the world, but its website isn’t as easy to use as Amazon. That’s because their search engine doesn’t easily support all of the filters that are available on Amazon, like size and color.
To make things even more difficult, Walmart doesn’t have a great image uploader tool — they just want you to upload your image as a file type with no compression.
Optimizing your product images is one of the most important steps in marketing your products on Walmart. Here are a few tips to help you create eye-catching, high-quality images that will get noticed by shoppers -
- Images should be in PNG format
- Optimize image file name
- Optimize your title tags and meta description tags - add relevant keywords to both your meta description tags as well as your titles for better visibility in search results
- Use high-quality images - use high-resolution photos for your product images so that they look great on mobile devices as well as desktops/laptops. Furthermore, images should be at least 300 dpi resolution
- Use the right image size - Walmart requires all product images to be no more than 4MB in size
- Use consistent branding across all images - use the same logo and color scheme for example
- Include multiple views of the product in your photo set
